The Spring Run Charitable Foundation Scholarship Committee works with the Spring Run Charitable Foundation, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity, to provide scholarship money for qualified education expenses for employees of Spring Run Golf Club or the dependent children of such an employee, age 26 or younger.
Candidates
The candidates must be a High School senior/graduate, or equivalent, planning on/or attending an accredited, college/university, graduate school, or technical school.
Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on scholastic merit and financial need. To date, more than $150,000 has been given to over 23 Spring Run Employees and/or their dependents for their educational pursuits. In April 2023, SRCF awarded $37,500 to five deserving individuals. Key People
The original committee included Dr. McTarnaghan as chair, Carol Lutkiewicz, Kathy Horvath, Kelley Butler, Ron Klocke and Tony Schmidt. The mission of this committee was to develop the criteria for awarding funds from the SRCF Scholarship Committee. Agreeing scholarship denotes merit, SRCF Scholarship criteria is based on need and academic achievement.
Carol Lutkiewicz now serves as the chair of the committee and works closely with committee members Patrick Welsh, Jacquelyn Gawronski, Ann Hindelong and Kathy Horvath who serves as the SRCF Board liaison. This committee respects and appreciates the financial contributions of Spring Run’s generous membership as they seek to help scholarship recipients in the pursuit of Excellence not the pursuit of Mediocrity.
