COMMUNITY IS AT THE HEART OF SRCF!
Community is at the Heart of SRCF’s fundraising. Spring Run Member’s donations of in-kind goods and services like use of vacation property, a golf foursome at an exclusive course, transportation services, fine dining and gift certificates, help us in our fundraising and support efforts since we can auction them at our Main Event to raise money for grants and scholarships. Funds are also generate through your participation in our Tour of Homes by the in-kind donations of Romi and Rich Camba; Carolyn Tichacek; Deborah Waszak-Twombly and Andrew Twombly; Natalie and Jeff McBride, and Tracy and Jeffrey Helgason by opening their newly remodeled homes for over 300 members and guest. Spring Run members went beyond signing up for our Annual Golf Outing by generously using their golf shop credit book money for purchasing golf accessories such as balls, etc. for raffle prizes.
We are committed to providing clear, timely information on our finances and grantmaking efforts. Our annual reports show the amount given to our charities each year and can be found on our website https://springruncharity.org/annual-reports. But how do the SRCF charities use the monies you donate? Here are some examples of how your generous contributions are used:
Assisting “Feed Thy Neighbor, Inc.” during the winter holiday season, to assure those in need are feed. 100% of that gift serves the homeless and needy a hot, well balanced, traditional Thanksgiving meal.
“Harry Chapin Food Bank” has honored their commitment to SRCF by using your donations for food for those in need and not administrative or new facilities construction cost.
A nine-year-old boy was feed only mangos from the tree in their backyard
because his mother believed the government laced the food at the grocery store. A hospital bed was purchased by “ANA’s Friends” with SRCF donated funds so the foster parents could nurse this malnourished, emaciated child to health.
Eric, needed size 22 cleats to play football at East Lee High School. SRCF was able to help “Laces of Love” with shoe purchases for Eric who is now at Syracuse University.
Michael Wenk is a FGCU student at the School of Golf Management. Recently he traveled to Bolivia on a church mission trip, where he helped support struggling children and families at an orphanage in Cochabamba. Michael is currently an intern in the Spring Run Golf Shop and Cart Barn and a recipient of a SRCF Scholarship of $7,500 for the 2025-26 school year.
These are only a few examples of how your donation dollars have a profound impact in Lee and Collier Counties and is at the Heart of SRCF’s Fundraising. This season with your generosity we are proud to distribute over $225,000.00. Thank you for your big hearts.
