This year Spring Run Golf Club Members made Wishes Come True! Your continuing enthusiasm for our cause was and continues to be profoundly pleasing to the Spring Run Charitable Foundation, and we hope it is the same for you. We were honored that you decided to participate in our events this season and we look forward to your future participation.
Patty and John Fitzgerald made sure rain did not dampen SRCF Main Event. Oh, what a night of giving! From the ice sculpture seafood appetizer bar, to the Wine Pull, to dancing to the music of Wendy Renee, no detail was left out. Talented auctioneer Shannon Livingston knocked it out of the park bring in over $42,000. A special shout out to Silver Creek residents, who’s enthusiastic bidding won most of the live auction items this year. Which neighborhood will hold that honor next season?
Getting back in to the swing of normalcy this season at Spring Run Golf Club was far from normal. Adapting to a new clubhouse, more dining options, increased services, changing membership, numerous events, golf leagues competitions, tennis tournaments and it seemed like everybody was playing bocce, was overwhelmingly exciting. Most of SRCF’s revenue comes from annual events, generous monetary donations and in-kind contributions. This summer SRCF will evaluate our traditional activities and explore new opportunities to continue our mission of generating monetary support for our vetted, local charities in Lee and Collier Counties, Florida. We may be asking for your help and would appreciate your input.
Our long-time supporters have been invaluable in making the work of our
charities possible. Your generous gifts, participation and support have helped SRCF raise over $2,000,000. Member partnerships are a high priority for SRCF. As the season closes, SRCF says goodbye to two of our board members. Cathie Rothwell resigned earlier in the season and Luke Cunningham at the end. Godspeed to Cathie and Luke. Thank you for all you have done to make Spring Run Charitable Foundation an organization that is all about giving and helping in our local charities.
